Emily Owens is the Communications Manager for the Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center (NTD-SC) at The Task Force for Global Health. In this role, Ms. Owens provides communication strategy and support for NTD-SC's work and collaboration with key partners, including activities related to the Coalition for Operational Research on Neglected Tropical Diseases (COR-NTD).
Ms. Owens has 20 years of experience with marketing, communications and public relations in the higher education and healthcare industries, most recently with Xavier University. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Cincinnati.
Ashley Souza is the Diagnostics Manager for the NTD Support Center at The Task Force for Global Health. In this role, she provides project management and technical support for the NTD Support Center’s diagnostics portfolio.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, “Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) include several parasitic, viral, and bacterial diseases that cause substantial illness. . . . Affecting the world’s poorest people, NTDs impair physical and cognitive development.”
